Inform Africa launched the last and 4th round media literacy campaign at Sapphire Hotel on July 25.
Inform Africa, in partnership with IMS (International Media Support), has been working on an 8-month media literacy campaign called “Arif Negari” with 20 young social media influencers. The last campaign had a one-day workshop, three days of online campaigns, a video commission, and a panel discussion.
The one-day workshop focused on media literacy for smart social media engagement.
The workshop started with a short questionnaire for the influencers to determine how many of them are at risk of developing a social media addiction and how they may better manage and utilize their time.
The afternoon session focused on the importance and use of social media for peace development.
The 20 social media influencers were also formulating ideas for their online campaign, which was held on July 26-28.
The media literacy Arif Negari campaign aims to promote media literacy for the betterment of society.
